Robert Ritzler is an attorney for the Public Defender’s office of Erie County and lives in Sandusky, Ohio. His father is a retired union laborer (LiUNA Local 125 and LiUNA Local 603), and his mother is a retired computer information systems specialist. He is married to his wife Katelyn Ritzler and is a proud father to their three boys.

Robert joined the Erie County Democratic Party in order to back strong Democratic Candidates for local office that reflect the values and diversity of his home. He has devoted his career to seeking equal justice for people no matter their background and fighting against over incarceration and criminalization of people with mental health and substance abuse struggles. As Vice Chair of the Erie County Democratic Party, he hopes to make sure Sandusky and Erie County have the representatives they need and deserve.
