CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
OF THE
ERIE COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY

*PREAMBLE*

We, the members of the Erie County Democratic Central and Executive Committees, in order to organize and perpetuate a representative, effective and responsible party organization at all levels in Erie County, Ohio, to affiliate with and advance the interests of the Ohio Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee, to sustain and advance the principles of democracy, and to uphold human and civil rights and constitutional government, adopt this Constitution and Bylaws.

We dedicate ourselves to the principles and pledges of both the Ohio Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee, and we subscribe to the principle of a party structure open to all Democrats. Our aim is to build the party structure from the present level up, to seek and extend cooperation with duly elected Erie County Democratic office holders and work toward the goals of a financially strong and viable party.

The Erie County Democratic Party shall further the election of Democratic candidates and the adoption of those policies which are supported by the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and the Erie County Democratic Party.
